Innovation is one of the three focus areas of the EDAS Route Map for Common Ambition policy analysis framework.

The Innovation Group , chaired by Charlie Woods, Director of the Scottish Universities Insight Institute, examined the possibility of mapping innovation processes and sources of support in Scotland. The group also designed a proposal to create an open source diagnostic and resource tool to support innovation capability, which is currently being termed a "Sat Nav" of innovation. 


Event Report: Innovation in Action 

The EDAS Innovation Group held a well-attended and successful event, "Innovation in Action", on 21 March at the Scottish Universities Insight Institute in Glasgow.

Innovation Conference with NESTA, Tuesday 23rd June 2015

On 23rd June 2015 at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh, EDAS held a successful conference on Innovation and Prosperity for Scotland, in collaboration with NESTA. Keynote speakers were Roseanna Cunningham MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Fair Work, Skills and Training, and Juan Jose Ibarrretxe, former president of the Basque country. Read Storify event report
